Open Web members are supported and designed to provide support for floors and roofs of buildings using hot-rolled or cold-formed steel elements.
Trusses and Joist Girders are primary elements typically supporting Joist at panel points. Joist Girders are generally designed as supported frames but can be used in rigid frames to resist lateral loads.
The Bridging Elements are required to align joists and provide stability during mounting.
The bracing is the equivalent of bridging elements in the Joist: their function is to provide lateral stability to the Bottom Chord of Joist Girders.
